now collects water for his family from Kageno’s clean water system, He just turns on the tap and fills his jug in minutes. He and thousands of other villagers no longer have to haul water from distant streams and stagnant ponds risking the infection from waterborne diseases like Cholera, Hepatitis and Typhoid. The clean water project was built in 2011 and later expanded to distribute water to additional points in the village. In 2014 the was further extended with the help of the Peace Corp to the farthest edges of the village.
