was a student at Kageno’s Banda Village school, he had a six inch open wound back of his head that was resistant to treatment, a complication from scabies. Janvier was identified by our staff as undernourished and placed in our “Vulnerable Children Program”. In the program he was given healthy meals seven days a week. His general health was monitored and he received treatment for his scabies. His nutrition improved and the wound on his head began to heal, he became the vibrant happy child pictured here.

Our Vulnerable Child Program identifies children suffering from malnutrition because they are most susceptible to disease and other health complications. Every day they are fed a nutritious meal cooked with food from Kageno’s farm and their health is monitored on a weekly basis.
